He is always happy to help and I'm sure he does more than is asked of him to keep that operation in tip top condition. I have oberserved him many times with customers at first hand and on the phone, and I have always admired his demeanor. Having employed people myself over the years, I know that it is sometimes difficult to find people of Carl's stature. He is a good man enjoys and takes pride in his work. “Carl Faulkner is simply the best manager and a big reason why we are there and not at other storage facilities closer to our home and studio. He waves to us every time we drive in and even knows his customers by name. He keeps this Lock Up immaculate--not a smell, a water drip or a critter in sight. I feel safe to drive in alone early mornings or in the evenings because the security seems very sound, the lights come on automatically and the music keeps me from feeling isolated. “I am an architect in private practice in Chicago and teach architecture at the University of Notre Dame as a Visiting Professor. I would like to offer some observations about my experience at your Skokie, Illinois facility where my family is renting a space for the next several months as we prepare to move to a new house. Mr. Carl Faulkner, the senior property manager of the facility, assisted me in the rental process, including reserving the facility's moving van. Mr. Faulkner made the entire experience absolutely positive. He was thorough while at the same time being concise and efficient. My time is valuable and it was wonderful to interact with someone who understands that and made the effort to expeditiously complete the process. He was polite and respectful, explained each step and piece of paperwork clearly and accommodated our needs perfectly. He did the entire thing with a smile. As someone who employs a small staff of architects, I understand the importance of customer service and a good work ethic. Mr. Faulkner truly excels at both. More often than not, when someone takes the time to contact a corporate customer satisfaction department, it is to voice a complaint. I believe that when things go exceptionally well, it is even more important to contact customer relations.
