How do I estimate the amount of space I need?
It depends on how often you will need to access your individual items while in storage. Our Storage Unit Size Guide can assist you to in finding the appropriate size unit for you needs. However, a visit to one of our locations, to both tour the site and meet with one of our Storage Professionals, is the best way to determine the most efficient size and packing methods for your individual requirements. Don't worry if you reserve a smaller or larger space than you initially need - we will be happy to accommodate a change your unit size.
What do I need to rent a unit?
You need to be at least 18 years of age and have a valid identification source; a driver's license, passport, military ID or student ID.
Do I need my own lock?
The tenant is either provided with a custom lock set and keys at move-in OR the tenant provides their own lock for the storage unit (see the individual Site Manager for details). For your convenience we offer for sale a variety of quality locks in our Management Offices.
What is "climate controlled"?
Our facilities offer completely heated and air conditioned space.
Do I need insurance for my stored property?
The Lock Up requires all tenants to be insured. To this end, a Protection Plan is offered for purchase to cover your items during your tenancy. The Protection Plan provides you with coverage starting at $2000.00 and up to $5000.00 per unit. Contact the Site Manager for prices and details of the program.
What hours can I access my storage unit?
Our normal access hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. The Hawaiian locations offer extended access hours from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Can anyone access the storage facility?
State of the art security systems are in place at all of our facilities. The buildings are camera monitored and perimeter alarmed. Each tenant receives an individual code to access the facility or gate during access hours.
Do you rent trucks?
We offer a FREE truck with a new rental! The trucks feature a 14-foot box with a ramp, blankets and dollies.
Can you also move my belongings?
We specialize in self storage and we offer a FREE MOVE-IN truck. Our individual Site Storage Managers will be able to recommend several reliable moving companies in your area.
Do you have moving equipment?
On site moving amenities include carts and dollies available for use in each facility at no charge.
Do you offer vehicle parking?
We offer a variety of options from drive in units to regular parking spots at select locations. Please contact us at #866-327-5625 for locations, sizes and prices.
To whom and when do I pay my bill?
Rent is prepaid monthly, and is due on the first day of each calendar month. You will have the ability to make the payment in person, by mail, automatic payment using a credit card or on-line on the web-site.
How do I prevent damage from pests or rodents?
Pest Control professionals inspect and service our facilities on a regular basis. Our Managers can also provide you with specific packing tips to ensure that your stored property is not damaged.
Is a referral fee available if I refer someone to you who rents a unit?
Absolutely! The Lock Up offers a “REFERRAL REWARDS” program to all tenants. There are no limits to the number of referral fees you may earn! See our web-site or your Facility Manager for details.
